AR Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with construction experience to join our client's team. Under the supervision of the Controller, you will be primarily responsible for the entry of all billing invoices into the accounting system and the collection of payments from customers. You will also be responsible for assisting with lien releases, entry of project setup, change orders, budget adjustments, and assisting with month-end close. This position is 100% onsite. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $35 to $41 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and send out accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  
• Monitor incoming payments and accurately post them to customer accounts.
  
• Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application and resolve discrepancies.
  
• Review and maintain aging reports, identifying overdue accounts and following up on outstanding balances.
  
• Respond to customer queries related to billing, payments, and account status.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.
  
• Maintain detailed, organized, and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
  

• 3+ years of AR experience.
  
• Experience in the construction industry is required
  
• Proficiency with MS Office
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Comfortable with math and calculations
  
• Good listening and communication skills
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics
