We are seeking an experienced Senior R&D Food Technologist to join our dynamic product development team. Type: 90-day contract to hire
Hours: M-F 8-5

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional creativity and technical expertise in formulating novel food and beverage products.
• Independently design and refine formulations to meet specific client briefs or internal innovation targets with minimal oversight.
• Work autonomously while maintaining alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
• Evaluate project viability by assessing manufacturing capabilities, available technology, equipment constraints, and scalability factors.
• Generate master batch records and detailed processing protocols.
• Interface directly with client technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions that meet or surpass expectations.
• Mentor and train product development scientists on technical methodologies.
• Develop and implement standardized procedures for sample management and distribution.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in food/beverage product development or formulation.
• Strong analytical and laboratory technical skills.
• Proven R&D project management capabilities.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-resolution abilities.
• Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments.
